Charles and Lucy McVickers
Charles McVicker studied at Art Center College of design with Lorser Feitelson and others. He had studios in New York for 25 years where he was active with the Society of Illustrators. He was President for two years. He is a retired Assistant Professor of Art from the College of New Jersey where he taught for 18 years. He now has his studio in Princeton. His idea of a cooperative art group led to the founding of the Princeton Artists Alliance which has had exhibits at museums and college galleries. He is a member of the American Watercolor Society, the National Watercolor Society and other professional groups. He is in the Watercolor USA Hall of Fame. He is a past president of the Garden State Watercolor Society. Beside watercolor, Charles also works in oil and acrylic. He has won over thirty awards in many national and statewide juried exhibits and is in the collection of Princeton University, the Capital in Washington DC, the Zimmerli Museum of Rutgers University, Ellarslie, the Trenton City Museum and many corporate and private collections.

The artworks of Lucy Graves McVicker have been shown in over 80 exhibitions, 60 of them in juried competitions - both national and state-wide, many of which were singled out for awards, including a Gold Medal from the Audobon National juired show in New York, the Bristol-Myers Squibb Purchase Award, and the Glenn Bradshaw Award in the 2011 national juried show in New York of the National Society of Painters in Casein and Acrylic. She has had numerous one and two person shows, including Rider University, The Coryell Gallery in Lambertville, NJ, and a six person exhibit at Kean University in 2014. She is an active art teacher and juror and her works are included in private and public collections including Johnson and Johnson, DuPont Corporation, Capital Health System, ADP Corporation, Princeton University, AtlantiCare, The University Medical Center at Princeton, and New Jersey State Council of the Arts.
